Benefits of Blogging for Your Business

Okay, so maybe when you hear about a blog you don’t think much about it because it seems like everyone has a blog these days. Or maybe you follow a blog you like, but think you would never have one because you don’t have the time to sit down and write. Not to mention, not everyone even likes to sit down and write. But blogging could be good for your business and if you haven’t considered blogging, it’s definitely something to think about!

Did you know having a blog can help you show up on search engines? Search engines like Google love fresh content. Making it a goal to blog regularly will provide Google with new content to index. Plus, you’re able to choose keywords. While keywords don’t always make a huge difference on Google now, it might help your blog show up when a user searches those keywords leading them to your site! And if you’re lucky, they just might stick around for a while!

We love blogging because it’s another way for us to communicate with current and potential customers. And we’ll take any chance we can get to do that! Sure, they might read just one blog post out of many, but we were still able to offer helpful tips, share something new we learned, or even have a little fun by posting a delicious recipe! When customers hear from you often, it feels like they know you a little better.

Which leads us to our next point – you can share some fun stuff in a post! Humanize your brand by getting a little bit personal. No, you don’t have to do this every week, but those that read your posts regularly will enjoy getting to know you! When you share more about yourself and what interests you, it also helps build your brand and not only who you are as a company, but as a person.

When you write a blog post, you can cover a lot of information at once. It’s a great place to share about a new product or answer frequently asked questions. Blogs are useful to share the more “random” information. For example, a page on your website will explain what a product is, what it costs, etc., but in a blog post you can share some fun or unique ways to use a product, success stories, statistics, and way more! You can get creative and have some fun!

One of our favorite things about blogging is sharing! Since they’re linked to a website, you can upload them to Facebook, include them in your email marketing, or use it as an easy way to direct people who have shown interest in a certain topic.

Sure, it’ll take some time to plan and write your blogs. But you might find that it’s a lot more fun than you thought it would be!
