Your Business Should be Using Email Marketing. Here’s Why.

How many times do you check your email a day? Whether it’s for work or personal, it’s probably at least a few times right? And yeah, we all hate when we get spam or when our inboxes are filled with junk, but how convenient is it that we can communicate in this way?

That’s why if your business isn’t using email marketing as a way to talk to your customers, you should be! It’s a great, simple way to share new products, exciting business news, deals, or just to check in! Sure, some people might not always read it, but they signed up for your newsletter for a reason. They’re interested!

If you’re currently on a newsletter list, you’ll probably see there’s a variety of content included in an email. At Pulse, we like to include a little bit of everything! Nice graphics, some content, videos, and helpful links. It’s another reason why email marketing is so useful! You can include a lot at once unlike a social media post. Plus, it’s another place to use the great video you just made! (If you didn’t already know, we love video!)

One thing to remember when creating your emails is to think about what you’d like to see if you were the one receiving it. Most people will want a special deal, discount code, or something helpful and informative. As a marketer, you know better than anyone what your clients want. Do people come to you for advice on a specific topic? Give them a list of helpful tips each month! Do they purchase something from you? Everyone loves a discount! It’s a good time to get creative and have some fun with what you give away.

Now, there are quite a few ways you can send emails to a list. Our favorite is by using MailChimp. It’s easy to use, you’re able to create attractive emails, and the best part is it’s free! Of course, nothing is simple, so there are a lot of options to choose from! Keep in mind there are many other websites similar to MailChimp you might like better.

Using a website like MailChimp to send emails is great because you can see how it’s doing immediately. Once sent, you can see how many people have opened the email, if they clicked any links, which links they clicked, and more. It’s an easy way to find out what people are interested in so you can continue to tweak your design and content.

Another wonderful feature is automation. If someone signs up for your newsletter, an email will automatically get sent to them! I’m sure you’ve been on the receiving end, but wouldn’t it be great if you could send those fun welcome emails with a discount code or special insight? Maybe you’re like me and always thought that sounded way too hard and confusing. But with an email marketing site, it’s easy!

Email marketing is just one more tool you can use to reach out to potential and current customers. It’s simple and a nice way to remind your clients you’re working hard to make their experience with your company a good one. And what customer wouldn’t appreciate that??
