Hi, I'm Becca

Let’s face it, you and I both know keeping up with the demands of content creation can be overwhelming, especially when balancing various aspects of running a business. The good news is that you don’t always have to reinvent the wheel, you can repurpose your content. By repurposing your existing content effectively, you can maximize its value and reach a broader audience without exhausting your resources.

In this blog, we’ll explore five simple yet powerful ways you can repurpose your content to create ease and save you time.

1. Repurpose webinar, podcast or blog content

If you’ve hosted webinars, have a podcast or write a regular blog post you are sitting on a gold mine of content. Because chances are you’re not extracting every ounce of the content you’re already creating. So go ahead, repurpose the recordings into written blog posts to reach audiences who prefer consuming content in written format. Take your blogs and create podcast scripts to share in an audio format. You can also extract key insights, quotes, or actionable tips from the recordings and expand upon them to create email or social content that provides value to your audience.

2. Develop email newsletters from your long form content

And hey, speaking of email, you can also leverage your existing content to create informative and engaging emails for your subscribers. Instead of starting from scratch, compile a section of your blog or better yet, create multiple emails at once by grabbing the best-performing blog posts, videos, podcasts, or webinar recordings to share in a weekly newsletter. Add personalized insights, commentary, or behind-the-scenes stories to add value and connect with your audience on a deeper level. Use email marketing platforms like Mailchimp or Flodesk to design visually appealing newsletters and schedule them to reach your subscribers at the right time.

3. Create bite-sized social media posts

Once you get your emails all scheduled, it’s time to create social content. From your blog or email copy, break down your longer-form content into bite-sized snippets for your social media platforms. Pull out your key points, quotes, statistics, or intriguing questions from your blog posts, articles, or podcasts, and repurpose them as social media posts.

Craft compelling captions that provide value and get your audience to slow their scroll. Platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn are perfect for sharing these bite-sized pieces of content. Additionally, you can use tools like Canva or Adobe Spark to create visually appealing graphics that complement your message and align with your brand aesthetic.

4. Compile evergreen content into comprehensive guides or e-books

You’re pretty smart and over time, you’ve likely produced a significant amount of evergreen content that remains relevant and valuable to your audience. Take advantage of this by repurposing your evergreen content into comprehensive guides or e-books. Review and bring all your related blog posts, articles, case studies, and other content assets into a single, downloadable resource.

5. Repost content you’ve already shared

This might be our favorite because it is so often overlooked. Your social media channels are ever growing. There is absolutely no reason NOT to share your content again…and again…and again. Statistically only 6% of your audience sees your content the first time anyway. Take your posts and freshen them with a new graphic or video, update copy and post again. You can do this every 3-6 months. Think about it, you spend so much time creating content, it’s ok to share it more than once. Or even twice.

So, by implementing these five simple strategies, you can breathe new life into your content, reach more people, and establish your brand as a trusted authority in your niche.

Remember, content repurposing is not only about saving time and effort, but also about maximizing the impact of each piece you create. And now you know the power and time savings of repurposing your existing content.
